Jess builds AI-enabled data systems for global development organizations at Visualst. A monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) data specialist, she has spent about a decade in the evidence space, turning grantee reports, evaluations, and scattered datasets into analysis that funders and program teams can use. Her current work includes an AI evidence tool for a large philanthropic foundation, built to help teams find and cite research findings across an entire portfolio.

Her approach starts small. Test a tool on a real problem, find where it breaks, and build the structure that makes the output trustworthy before you scale it. Evidence people have always asked where a number came from and whether they can trust it, and Jess designs AI work so they can still get that answer. In this session she shows both sides of that work: what paid off, and the moments that got sticky.

For twenty years, Nathaniel has helped organizations turn big ideas into real results, and has won multiple awards for that work across industries. PR News named him one of its 15 to Watch for leading Fortune 100 companies through the adoption of digital and social media at scale. We recommend at least one paid subscription during the course—ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, or Gemini Advanced. You can cancel after, but we've never had a student go back to free versions after unlocking full capabilities.

How is this different from free YouTube tutorials?

Free content is great—use it! But our course isn't watching recordings. It's doing. Experiential learning with your real projects. Live sessions answering YOUR questions. Accountability that ensures completion. Community that motivates transformation.

What project should I bring through the course?

A good project needs three things: clear audience, clear goal, and specific outputs to achieve that goal. Think about WHO you're trying to reach, WHAT you want them to do, and WHAT you'll create to make that happen.

Come to our free webinar to explore what project would work best for you. Pick something you're excited about—you'll be working on it for 6 weeks. Simple projects take 30-60 minutes weekly. Complex ones can take more. Either works.

What's the actual time commitment?

90 minutes weekly for live class. 60 minutes for optional study hall (highly recommended). 30-60 minutes for homework/project work. Choose simpler project for less time, complex for more. You'll recoup this time by week 2 through efficiency gains.

Attend 5 of 6 classes live. Complete feedback forms after each class. Finish all weekly homework. Pass post-assessment test. Submit video recordings demonstrating advanced prompting skills.
